The Velasquez family operated the restaurant since 1986. Before that the Elfego Albert "Friggie" Campos family had operated Lettie's Restaurant, named for their daughter. The Campos family promoted the restaurant as having a "Panoramic View of the Valley". Sadly the restaurant closed in September of 2019.
They have a couple other signs to help get the attention of hungry people. This is at least the third set of signs for the cafe. In the the second (?) set the round Route 66 sign was the same yellow as the background on the Googie style letters and simply said Lettie's in script and the large red and white Restaurant sign wasn't yet in place.
